Too often as someone from the ethnic community I find that I am in the minority at Networks and despite having spent my entire life here I do feel I stick out like sore thumb. People from ALL races should join the Meetup Group because it's a great idea. Some serious business people came out to network and everyone was approachable and you never know what the outcome of a meetup may be. One suggestion though is that people have badges or some kind of identification on them (not necessarily their name) which states what line of business they are in. If I am looking for someone in the Food industry it makes life easier to know I am approaching the right person. ”
