About our Presenters
Roger Tabor Stewart is the Iowa State Senator from the 13th District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2002. Senator Stewart currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Commerce committee; the Local Government committee; the Ways and Means committee; and the Economic Growth committee, where he is chair. He also serves on the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee. Senator Stewart was re-elected in 2006 with 12,886 votes, defeating Republican opponent Lametta K. Wynn. Senator Stewart, a semi-retired banker and long time farmer, resides with his wife, Jennie, on the family farm near Preston. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
Roger D. Thomas is the Iowa State Representative from the 24th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1996-2000 and from 2002-present. He received his BS from Upper Iowa University. Representative Thomas currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Local Government committee; the Veterans Affairs committee; the Ways and Means committee; and the Economic Growth committee, where he is chair. He also serves on the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as a representative in the Iowa House from 1996-2000, and service as a trustee for Northeast Iowa Community College. Thomas was re-elected in 2006 with 7,820 votes, running unopposed
Brent E. McClure
Tax Manager, CPA

With eleven years of experience in tax and consulting, Brent McClure has developed close relationships with his clients, while providing them with relevant tax solutions to help them navigate the often-times complex tax regulations. He has been involved in corporate and personal income tax preparation, and specializes in cost segregation studies. Brent has completed hundreds of cost segregation projects ranging in size from $500,000 to more than $110 million, saving his clients thousands of tax dollars.
Brent McClure joined Kiesling Associates LLP in 2006. Prior to joining Kiesling, Brent served roles as a regional director of cost segregation services and tax manager at a national firm for the previous eleven years.
Brent received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with an Economics minor from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993, and received a Masters in Business Administration in Accounting with a concentration in taxation from the University of Houston in 1995. He obtained his CPA certificate in 1996 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Public Accountancy and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. Brent is currently pursuing his accreditation as an ASA Machinery and Equipment Appraiser.
