Knoxville Overground Meetup

Hope you're able to make it to this week! Here's what we have on the agenda:

1. If you're a self-employed professional or an entrepreneur, these meetings are a great opportunity to get out of the house or the office to network and meet other like-minded folks like yourself.

2. Knoxville Overground has a total of ten committees each with a team leader. We'll be explaining the purpose of each committee and also readjust leadership roles if necessary. For a quick description of each group in the interim, you can check out our website or just use the link posted below on the event page.

3. If you're interested, at 5pm we'll be hosting a discussion group to discuss the book "Talent is Never Enough" by John C. Maxwell. To participate, please read at the least the book notes. The link is also provided on the event page site below.

4. We're also going to start a tradition at this meeting where we interview local entrepreneurs on Skype and record the conversation to publish as a podcast on our website. All are welcome to listen in and pass in questions during the interview. This week we're hoping to get Roy Marshall and Paul Sorey (The Links Group, LLC) to talk about the benefits of the corrugated pallets they invented as a "green and profitable" alternative for the shipping and packing industry as well as share other challenges and successes they've had with their company.
