OpenCoffee DC now has a meetup group. This group exists to work with other existing and potential OpenCoffee groups in the DC area, to have a regular weekly Open Coffee event in DC. You can read about OpenCoffee here (http://www.opencoffeeclub.org/), and it is a global network for entrepreneurs, developers and investors to chat, network and grow.
This group is intended to compliment the many other entrepreneur meetups & groups in the DC/VA/MD area. We're holding Open Coffee events, once a week, to draw people together and to enable more great ideas & people to succeed in the local area. Read the About Us page for more details - http://entrepreneur.meetup.com/1767/about/
We've picked Fridays to start with, and the first event was May 9, and was a great networking gathering & discussion session.
Want to help? Anyone interested in being a part can contact the organizer to find out more. The group will ensure that there is at least one facilitator at every opencoffee event, preferably two.
There is a Baltimore OpenCoffee having an event on May 19 - http://www.cogmap.com/blog/2008/05/10/baltimore-opencoffe...
This one's in Tyson's Corner, and members of the No VA OpenCoffee will be co-hosting.
Last time we found some tables in the front, and if it's nice maybe we'll be at the outside tables.
“ Good group of people and very informative/. ”
