This is a networking event for entrepreneurs, investors and those who work with technology & innovation businesses, particularly in IT, cleantech and life sciences.

So far we've kept the agenda open, allowing those who show up to set it as they wish. It's heavy on networking, full of interesting opinions and stories, and has led to several successful business partnerships and gigs.

The agenda is simple:

1. Drink coffee
2. Network
3. Drink coffee [notice my personal priorities]

If networking is not comfortable for you, no worries! Let me know and I'll shepherd you through the crowd, making introductions.

As always, bring your business cards. Mighty Good Coffee will be provided, compliments of SPARK.

Talk about this Meetup

Who attended?

  • 15 attendees
    •  Did not get to talk to as many people as I had hoped to, but I will try to do better next time.
    •  I liked the broad mix of folks there this morning. Found a two new avenues to pursue getting a cool job.
    •  Got some people interested in similar areas together. conversation carried on for at least a hour after the meetup ended shile they discussed the idea of starting a new entity to handle an idea that related to what each of their respective companies were doing, but would have been outside their core businesses. Also talked up my observation that we have a pretty good inventory of underused talent (e.g. with linkedin), but lack similar user-contributed inventories of unmet needs / new ideas. Often we'll see everyday problems that cry out for solutions or we come up with novel ideas, but we may not be the one to take the idea and run with it. However, if we can post the ideas on a sufficiently indexed/tagged website, entrepreneur wannabees might find ideas that really interests them... and while the idea might not be viable by itself, maybe they see a related idea or two that they could incorporate that would make them viable.
