Twitter has received tremendous buzz as a social media channel.


How can Twitter be utilized as a practical business tool?

Our featured speaker, Chris Anderson, will address that topic from a technologist's as well as an entrepeneur's perspective.

Chris is the managing principal of Freshout, a full service web agency based in San Francisco.

Chris will discuss Freshout's recently completed Twitter application, TweetyJobs, as a case study to explore the potential for leveraging Twitter for custom applications. Chris will also explore how entrepeneurs can use Twitter to drive site traffic, expand brand awareness, engage customers, and aggregate industry and competitive information.



We will also hear a brief presentation on networking in the digital age by Lyn Williams.

Lyn is CEO and founder MySoiree.net a company dedicated to locating/promoting up and coming artists and hooking them up with 'regular people' seeking reasonably priced pieces for their homes and offices. She will share her experiences with and advice about networking for professional and personal success...as it's relevant to everyone in all career fields.

Having worked in a variety of industries from automotive manufacturing to now art marketing, and living in diverse areas from small town Ohio, New York City, and now San Francisco, Lyn brings an interesting perspective on where and how to network, some success stories, and lessons learned along the way. Lyn holds an MBA from New York University, and B.S. in Engineering from University of Pittsburgh and M.S in Engineering from Youngstown State University.
