Hey Everyone

CeBIT is coming up and this year they're doing some really cool stuff in the "Web 2.0" space.

There's a special conference called Transaction 2.0 that looks very interesting. It's a one-day high level conference aimed at Technology Entrepreneurs, and will address hot topics like the money trail for start-ups and web 2.0 for business.

There's also going to be a competition where Aussie start-ups can win prizes worth over $50,000 that will help them develop and grow their business.

HERE's a link to the entry form for the comp.

The 6 finalists also get to present for the whole conference audience so at the very least it will be a great chance to practice your pitching.

Special Guest Speakers at Transaction 2.0 include:

  • Jason Calacanis, formerly of Sequoia capital USA
  • Mike Cannon Brooks, CEO & Co Founder of Atlassian
  • World renowned blogger Duncan Riley (ex TechCrunch)

On top of that, Successful entrepreneurs will share their experience on the way to success, from VC to business strategy, successful up-scaling, marketing and much much more.

If you can make the event I recommend you go.

HERE's a link to the registration form

Also, I've spoken to one of our members, Gilad, who happens to be an IT director at ceBIT and he's offered Open Coffee members a unique code for free CeBIT Exhibition registration.

just use the code

cofferrca08

or

COFFEECA08

when signing up at https://www.mycebit.c...

PLEASE NOTE: The free rego is for CeBIT only, not for the Transaction 2.0 conference.

Thanks Kim for yet another great initiative.

I tried to register and it didn't seem to accept that code. Has anyone else had problems?

Yeah, I can't get the website to work when I use either of those codes. Removing the code from the coupon field works though...

Sorry for not checking it first and wasting your time.

Hi all,

I will get the codes checked and working shortly. In the meanwhile use the code 'cebitguest' for free rego. There is no need to undergo registration again - incomplete registrations can be continued by logging in to

I just tested the codes - there was a problem there, indeed. Apology. They are working now.
